Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Let’s speak life into our lives:
Don’t say “I think I am going to fail this exam”
Say “God willing I will pass it with flying colours”
Don’t say “I think am getting sick”
Say “I am blessed!”
Don’t say “my life sucks”
Say “my life is blessed”
Don’t say “I am stupid” “I am strange”
Say “I am honoured in wisdom and I am special, add that you are “fearfully and wonderfully made”
Don’t lie
Tell the true
The devil does not care if you are joking, he is ever waiting for you to declare the foolish things we say so that he may act on them to make it be.
Pronounce the blessings of the Jesus into your life, for we are a “new creation”
Amen
And “good morning”
We use the term “glory of God” so often that it tends to lose its biblical force. But the sun is no less blazing, and no less beneficial, because people ignore it.
– John Piper on “Rebuilding Some Basics of Bethlehem: The Centrality of the Glory of God”
